Gallo Nero Website

Home Page
For this page i followed my color scheme and used black, gold, grey and brown with white writing. These colors all worked well together to make a simple clean home page. I used my advert as a picture on the page to keep the symbol of the wine glass in my web page. The copyright at the bottom blends in well with the colors on the page and looks smooth. My logo is at the top of the page so the guest on the page knows exactly that this is an elegant and high class restaurant. It also shows that you are on the Gallo Nero site.

Secondary Page
The secondary page follows the same basic format of the home page except it has a drop down menu with additional links to the tertiary. This drop down menu is a light grey color distinguishing that this is a secondary page. There are also titles on the page that are consistent throughout the website. They are in all the secondary and tertiary pages. The type font is also consistent with the other pages along with the picture below it. These are the basic guidelines for the web pages.

Tertiary Page
the tertiary pages are similar to the secondary except for the drop down menu's color. The color turns darker distinguishing it from the secondary pages. The format of the page however is similar to the secondary to keep a sense of consistency throughout the web site.

Easton S17 hockey Stick

Easton has revolutionized the level of hockey sticks with this stick and its TORX technology. This stick is designed for high performances and world class hockey players. The TORX technology uses an elliptical profile to make sure no torque is lost in the transfer from the players hands to the blade, giving the blade maximum unsurpassed velocity. This stick also uses a Micro Bladder process which is made easy with the Multi-Rib structure. This allows the blade to flex through the puck giving pinpoint accuracy to the shot, then the base-kick flex point of the stick gives the shot more power than previous sticks. Also to make sure this stick lasts it has a Kevlar wrapped shaft which provides impact protection during the game, aswell as vibration dampening for a better and more controlled feel of the stick. All this conbined with a superior grip coating and great looks make this hockey stick unmatched. The design of this stick is revolutionary and has enhanced hockey sticks greatly.

The Art of the square (Mag.)

The Eboy design company is entirely based on square shapes and four guys who just want to have fun with design. Their designs are all created with digital technology on computers. They build a square-like world using design and their creativity. They design purely for fun and to put their mind on to the computer. Their design ideas come from their state of mind and feeling at the time, so things like the weather, time and etc. all affects their creation. This company has potential as their designs are limitless and can always be expanded upon. Their designs are all based on using the square shape to create art; their aim is to create a whole world where every object is based on a square. It is a very simple idea, but this idea can only go so far. They will design as much of the square-like world as they can, but they are going to have to move on to others things to keep their designs interesting and new. However, their advantage is that they can yake almost any object shape or thing and base it on a square-like design.

Reincarnation by Computer (Mag.)

Daniel Lee is a very unique artist who mixes reality and make-belief with no limits using digital engineering. He is able to create his strange and unique art works because of modern digital technology. His free flowing ideas bring new aspects to art and are not always understood/processed by the mind at first. The picture seems real but it is actually an impossible picture and could never occur. His art all portraits super naturalism by replacing real objects in his image with make belief objects making the picture interesting; this is now possible because of the major advancements in digital engineering. His work is very interesting and attracts a lot of attention from viewers because the observer has to stop and truly think about the image to be able to understand/process it. Daniel Lee has taken advantage of the modern digital advancements and came up with a simple idea that effectively captures the interest of others.

Art for Art's sake (Mag.)

Geneveve Gauckler is a very modern artist who uses various art forms in her designs; such as videos, the web and standard print. Her works create a sense of humor and are always enjoyable because she makes sure when she works she is in a calm happy environment which gives her the best creative state of mind. She uses situations in her life as a setting for her works, and then uses the ideas that went through her head at that moment in time to humorize the scene. She does not believe in censoring her work to the public as she likes to express her current emotion in her work. It does not matter to her the content of her art and how apropriate it is, she wants to express the exact feeling she felt at the time on to a design. Her work has a sense of being stress free and always creative. Her work also introduces a type of poetry to her work.

Graphic art and the Media (Mag.)

In the modern world adverts are considered as art, for example Billboards and other sorts of advertising is carefully created following the rules of design and making the advert into a piece of art. However, Modern art now also works as advertising modern culture and popular aspects of today's world, such as comics, movies, magazines, films, events etc. Art can advertise modern things, even without the artist being aware of it. Art is formed from popular aspects of the modern society, these aspects are then transferred into the works the artists create. This starts a sort of advertising. For example, a horse of a certain type can be seen as the Ferrari logo and therefore advertise Ferrari. Now that we have all been exposed to so many companies and organizations, we can make links to them through art. There are also works were the piece is made completely out of advertising symbols and ideas, which then can be seen as a art piece which advertises.

The Happypets designs have been so successful because of their radical choices. They have had no fear in exerimenting and making crazy choices that might break rules o design. They have risled the outcome of the design for the possibility of making something great and unusual. To make their designs even more unpredictable they include cultural figures into their work to make them seem somewhat personal to the area. These posters have been created in areas from Asia to Europe to the US, each area with its own cultural themes and symbols. The unique technique of Happypets allows them to always include a range of actions and they have limitless possibilities.
